A majestic ship that combines traditional Phinisi design with modern luxuries
5 Cabins | 10 Guests | 17 Crew | 50m From 17,000 / night
A majestic ship that combines traditional Phinisi design with modern luxuries. The vision behind Silo comes from its owner, who has been living in Indonesia and working with local people in Irian Jaya since 1983. Patti is a strong supporter for the preservation of local arts and culture and promoting cross-cultural understanding
With five stylish cabins including three with king-sized beds and two with double beds, Silolona can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests, which makes the yacht an ideal choice for families, groups of friends or liveaboard retreats.
With Silolona and its sister vessel Si Datu Bua she organises and leads voyages that allow guests to not only see spectacular landscapes and underwater worlds, but also to gain a better understanding of the indigenous people and cultures in this part of the world. Silo sails in harmony with the Southeast Asian monsoon seasons in an effort to ensure as many sunny days, calm seas and optimal diving and snorkelling conditions as possible. From April to November she sails to destinations in Indonesia like the rugged islands of Komodo National Park where the world’s largest ‘dragons’ live, the remote Banda Islands that were once at the epicentre of the spice trade, and the world-famous dive sites of Raja Ampat. From December to March Silolona sets sail for the western coasts and islands of Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar.
